Not Another T-Bar

I’ve got a funny little memory behind this painting 'Not Another T-Bar', and if you’ve ever skied, you’ll get it.

My brother and his friend had a habit of falling off the t-bar lift — usually mid-laugh.

One day, the snow was particularly icy, and instead of stepping aside after falling (as you’re supposed to), they started sliding back down the slope — like human bowling pins. The people below on the t-bar had to dodge them, turning the t-bar line into an obstacle course.

The whole slope turned into a comedy show, with people on the chairlifts chanting "Olé!" every time someone swerved past them.

Decades later, I still sometimes tumble off the t-bar… Totally not my fault though — I’m blaming the kids!
